Welcome to Mr. Majewski's 4th Grade Classroom Website! This site has lots of great resources and links to help support what we are learning about.
Our Classroom Expectations:
P - Participation
R - Respect
A - Attitude
B - Behavior
E - Effort
R - Responsibility
All students begin each day on white: “Ready To Fly”. Color changes will be noted in the assignment notebook daily.
Students will be rewarded for positive behavior and going above and beyond our classroom expectations:
Purple: “Superhero” = 3 Superchips and 10 points for their Superhero Team
Blue: “Side-Kick” = 2 Superchips and 5 points for their Superhero Team
Students will also be held accountable for negative behavior and not following our classroom expectations:
Green: “Warning” = Verbal Warning
Yellow: “Danger” = Think Sheet – Students complete a think sheet and signed by a parent
Red: “BOOM” = Parent Contact – Red sheet sent home for parent signature and parent phone call.
Beyond Red = Office Referral
Students are split up into Superhero Teams and will work together to earn Superhero Team points for the week. The team with the most points at the end of the week earned by following classroom expectations, keeping their desks and the classroom clean, and completing various Superhero Team Quests, will be rewarded!
Students can also individually earn Superchips as payment for doing their classroom jobs, moving up on our classroom expectations chart, and caught being good. Superchips can be saved up to purchase different rewards or used in our two superchip auctions throughout the year. A Superhero of the Week is also chosen to acknowledge the student who stood out in a positive way throughout the week.
Homework and Absences:
Although students need to be responsible of keeping track of their assignments and due dates, I do ask that you check your student’s assignment notebook each night and initial it, ensuring that you see what it is your child should be doing each night and that you are updated on homework and important events occurring at school.
If your child is absent, he or she has only the number of days absent to complete missing work. Responsibility is a strong component of one’s education and will prove to be a vital trait to have in the future.
